Our training program is Classic Conservatory-style training. Our students study mime, mask, space improvisation, speech, dance/movement, interpretation of scripts from Classics to Contemporary for film, television and theater. Our actors range in age from 6 to 18, and we have adult classes as well. We have guest teachers in movement, musical theater, stage combat, clown and image consultation. We also offer courses in makeup, wardrobe, on-camera and audition techniques and our business course, which parents are encouraged to attend.
Biz kids is a rigorous training program. It is our intention to allow every young person to find the “talents” they possess and through the highest level of training develop the skills necessary to work in our industry. In an effort to maintain our artistic integrity, we have a policy of auditioning students for placement in our programs. Biz kids ny, inc. will offer talent/need based scholarships upon application and audition process.
As directors, teachers and fellow students, we commit ourselves to maintaining an environment that is safe and conducive to ones self discovery and expression.
